What Changes
What changes.
Veeam Backup & Replication set up properly, with an offsite copy and a restore you have tested.
Before
Backups that may or may not restore.
Whether you run another tool or no backup at all, the first step is knowing what is protected today.
After
Veeam jobs with clear retention.
An offsite immutable copy, and a restore you have tested.
What Veeam Gives You Instead
Built for Modern Infrastructure.
Veeam has been the backup standard for VMware and Hyper-V environments for over a decade. Here is why organizations stay on it.
Instant VM Recovery
Veeam can start a machine straight from backup while the full restore finishes. From our offsite repository it runs over your internet connection, so speed depends on your link. We plan and test restores with you.
Granular Restore
Recover individual files, folders, emails, or database objects without restoring an entire VM. Surgical recovery that saves hours of downtime.
Application-Aware Backups
Veeam understands SQL, Exchange, Active Directory, and SharePoint — ensuring transaction-consistent backups that actually restore cleanly.
You Own Your Data
No proprietary hardware, no vendor-controlled appliances. Your backup data is yours — stored in standard formats you can access independently.
On-Prem + Offsite in One Console
Manage local backups and offsite cloud targets from a single Veeam console. One interface, complete visibility across your entire backup environment.
3-2-1 Rule, Done Right
3 copies of data, 2 different media types, 1 offsite. Veeam plus an offsite copy with us is a straightforward way to meet the 3-2-1 rule.
The Complete Picture
On-Prem Backup + Offsite Cloud. One Setup.
A proper backup strategy needs local speed and offsite resilience. We configure both in the same engagement.
On-Premises
Fast Local Recovery
Backups to a local repository on your own hardware — NAS, dedicated server, or SAN. Veeam can start a machine straight from a local backup while the full restore finishes, without using your internet connection. Speed depends on your hardware.
- Instant VM Recovery from local backups
- File and application-level granular recovery
- No bandwidth dependency for local restores
- Full control over retention and storage

Common Questions
Veeam Setup FAQ
Yes. Your own Veeam Backup & Replication server needs a paid licence to use Cloud Connect, since the free Community Edition does not support it. The offsite repository on our side is included in your subscription. Ask us about a Veeam rental licence, and we can help you choose the right edition.
Installation and configuration of the Veeam Backup & Replication server, backup job setup for your VMs and workloads, policy configuration (retention, scheduling, alerts), integration with our Cloud Connect repository for offsite, and a documented restore test before we hand off.
It depends on the size and complexity of your environment. Timing is confirmed in your written quote.
Existing backup data from other tools generally cannot be migrated directly, because backup formats differ. We set up Veeam fresh and run your first full backup of the live environment. Your old backups can stay accessible on the old system during a transition period.
Veeam runs on a Windows server — physical or virtual. You need a backup repository target (a NAS, a dedicated server, or storage connected to your environment). We advise on the right storage sizing during assessment.
You add Mighty Blue Cloud as a Cloud Connect repository directly inside the Veeam console. Your backup jobs point to it. Offsite backups run on the schedule you set.
